A Thought from the Circle L!

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

2 Corinthians 13:5

So the Bible tells us to examine ourselves.  Did you know that?  I agree that we should.  We should examine our selves to see if we have sin, We should examine our selves to make sure that we godly.

We need to examine our hearts. We need to examine our souls.

God has forgiven confessed sin so that we can move forward. He isn't dwelling on all our bad. God is dwelling on our good.

Examination helps us prove to ourselves that we are in Christ and he is in us,  and that in Him we have been set free from sin. Condemnation keeps us mired in the very sin we feel condemned about. It does not deliver us, in fact it traps us.  It makes us week and we lose our spiritual strength.  We find ourselves giving energy to feeling condemned rather than living righteously.

We need to examine but do not condemn. This week I would like God to search my heart and expose any sin in my life and I know that he will set me free from it.
