Bridgeport 7th Grade Football Team~
This team broke a 3 year losing streak last Tuesday!
 Keep up the good work.

So you read my heading and I already know what you are thinking.  What in the world does football and Ag have in common?  Well actually a lot. Here are my top five.

1. Tailgate parties consist of Beef. If you look at the Food Network's 50 Tailgate recipes, you will find over 22 recipes that call for Beef.  At all of our hometown football games, school organizations serve hamburgers at the tailgating party prior to our football games.

2. Our state football team is the NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS! According to Wikipedia, Nebraska is known as the “Cornhusker State” – and is the third largest corn-producing state in the United States.

I captured this photo the other day while Cade was playing football.
I love what this picture says: footballs, shoes, bench and Gatorade.
This picture really doesn't
need a caption, except LOVE IT!!

3. One cowhide makes about 10 Footballs.(wilson.com)
All NFL games require 24 official game footballs.(nfl.com)

4. Footballs used to be made out of the bladders of animals, including pigs; hence the phrase "pig skins".

5. Football teams are a lot like our Ag Communities, we all have to work together and we all have to play with our whole hearts to be successful.

I love fall, not only for the cooler weather, but for all the football that I get to watch.

Happy Friday!
Go Bridgeport Bulldogs!
Go Huskers!!

Who are you rooting for this football weekend?

Playing football with your feet is one thing, but playing football
with your hears is another.
