A Sunday Thought from the Circle L~ Soar with the Eagles

Did you know?
When it rains, most birds head for shelter; the Eagle is the
only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, starts flying above
the clouds.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

My thoughts have been about Eagles.
There has been an Eagle hanging around the ranch. He is beautiful and we can learn so much from these birds. It has been good for me to think that we can "Fly" if we put our minds to it and if we have God on our side.

Their Vision.
It is said that Eagles can see up to 1 mile away. They have keen vision. They are always watching. We must have a vision that guides and leads us to all our goals. Our vision must be keen, big and focused. A big, focused vision will produce big results.

They are Fearless.
Eagles will never surrender to the size or strength of its prey. Need I say more!

They are Tenacious.
Eagles are persistent, determined, and strong willed. Eagles rise to great heights. I want to aim for the stars.

They are Full of Life.
Just looking at them, from a distance, gives me peace. They are strong and are not afraid of anything.

They work Together.
During mating season, the male and the female Eagles, build their nest together. This is one of my favorite characteristics of  Eagles. They work together. (http://www.defenders.org/bald-eagle/basic-facts)

They Nurture.
Eagles make sure that their young are fed and taken care of. They are leaders. They help their young grow into mature eagles. We need to teach, and guide as the Eagle parents do. They never stop giving challanges, but the never give-up empowering and directing.

My take home message to you and to me:
IF we all soar like an Eagle everyday, if we seek a Godly vision, if we are full of life, if we work together and if we nurture the world would be a better place. Stronger, more focused individuals make stronger families. Stronger families make stronger, healthier communities.  As Les Brown reminds us, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

Happy Monday, friends!!
